Ocean Club is one of Paradise Island’s truly opulent hotels. And its Courtyard Terrace is one of the most romantic restaurants on New Providence. The rooms have patios, ocean or garden views, and spacious bathrooms. Lots of watersports are available and the hotel beach is a long, pristine expanse of sugar-white sand. The Ocean Club also has three restaurants, including the famous Courtyard Terrace and a new venture called Dune. The décor of the guest rooms reflects the overall opulence of the resort: gilded mirrors, dark woods and plush upholstery.
The atmosphere is one of quiet, secluded luxury, almost museum-like. This is an excellent choice. Rates begin at $400 per night, rising to $725 for a double during the summer season ($725 to $850 for a suite) and range from $625 to $750 for a double during the winter season (suites from $1,125 to $1,350). There also are five private villas where the rates range from $650 to $1,350 per night, depending upon the season.
